LIETUVOS KINAS has been operating on the national market since 1944. Although the name and status of the company has changed many times, activities of the company remained the same, i.e., collecting and demonstrating good films. Throughout long years of its operations, LIETUVOS KINAS has accumulated impressive film archives which are regularly supplemented with interesting works of masters of world cinema.

Today, LIETUVOS KINAS film archives consist of 6586 copies of feature films, 4555 copies of documentary films and 1464 copies of animated cartoons. Among others, the archives include a unique collection of silent films, works of contemporary film classics and films of Lithuanian cinematographers. LIETUVOS KINAS endeavours to preserve film heritage as a part of contemporary film culture. We keep contacts with training establishments, hold retrospectives, programs of Lithuanian film-makers and meetings with actors and directors. Old, good films are demonstrated in Ozo cinema hall.

Here we also have a vide picture library offering our customers a wide range of chef-d'oeuvres of film history and modern film collections.
In addition, we offer video and DVD subtitling services, recording of 35 mm films into digital formats, restoration of old films. We also organise educational, historical, bibliographic and other target cinematic programmes, and provide other services to everyone who loves cinema.
